D.K......where's the beef?

Last year, 3 to 5lb fish were pretty much the norm...this year is pretty much a fish hatchery for 1 to 2lbers! I kind of wasted the first couple hours, throwing some different baits that I don't have confidence in right now...not smart! Once I went back to my normal baits, I got into the fish! I lost 2 fish in the rocks, one in the only tree left in the water, and had no problem landing the small fish! I ended up with 14 fish, biggest going 3.8...felt like I should of had a better day...but that's fishing! I think I let the more crowded conditions affect me! There would either be a yak or tube sitting on my rocks, or the shore guys would be covering the area...yep, but that's fishing! I would blame it on Vinny, but he wasn't there!

Post spawn, full moon, cold north wind, crowds, a Padre loss...I'll use any excuse! A local tried to get a ride home with me....Moo!

The beef is next to the white truck...ha ha! Alright back to fishing. With the low water and most of the rock hot spots well out of the water on dry land, I think you still had a pretty good day. The water level will probably not go up the rest of season so if you can find a spot where the shore guys can't reach you with a cast or there are no kayaks or other float tubes on a spot with rocks, you should just stay there. There is now tons of access to shore
anglers and the last time I was there, every area where there was a rock, there was a shore angler casting on it. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Anyway...thanks for sharing and tight lines always buddy.
