Thanks guys
After fishing all summer at Murray trying to learn to fish for bass and only catching one dink, I was about to give up. I had come to see it a a lost cause. Then I ran across this site and saw that some of you were not only catching some, but catching some really big ones. I decided that I needed to get off of the shore to get to the fish. I purchased a cheap used kayak and after getting blown around on some windy days. I decided to put a motor on it and now can get around pretty good. Still not catching fish, but thanks to you all, I know it’s possible. So I’m sticking to it. I started a YouTube channel this year and decided to ad a fishing playlist to it and finally posted to it. In my first video last week, I told the above story, expressing my sincere gratitude for sdfish and gave a big shout out. Again, thank you for continually showing me that it’s possible. When I was on the water today I decided I should share this with you.

Murray can be tuff, especially if you don't know the lake. Fish and wild life say it has the least amount of fish in it. El Cap is a good lake to learn on, from shore or on the water.

I did not have any mentors, but thank God for the internet. I printed out two notebooks full of 'how to's'. It's really 'time on the water' that is the most important aspect of learning.
I go out on Wednesdays, if you'd like to backseat I could give you a few pointers, not that I'm half as good as many other guys here.

That would be awesome otay Michael. I have the next 2 Wednesdays taken up with dental appointments, but if the offer holds after that I would love it.

There’s no body of water where he can’t catch fish on top water year-round, which is pretty amazing to me besides him normally catching tons of bass year around.
