Double ticket TM refunds

I’m only getting this second hand but my friend (not in my ticket gathering group) has been told by the City, TM is offering refund on the double ticket.
But it remains to be seen or resolved on what name appears on the master list for Jose or Laurie. Is going to be just the one single name or both names (understand) for boaters there is a limit (15).
So those with the double ticket, if you don’t claim your refund from TM in a timely manner then there’s a possibility you’re going to be out of your $185.00.
City could always say you are aware of the City Lakes policy of only one ticket per address and enforce that and you’re stuck holding it.
If that’s the case, buyers of the extra ticket could be left outside the gate. But as well as the original ticket holder if they arrive after the buyer was allowed in.
That person (buyer or seller) will probably be asked to leave the area and go to El Cap or whatever is open. Surprise!

Thanks for the update. Bet Opening Day plus one or two is going to be a sh**show with extra people showing up.

How does anyone know if they sold 7 times 2 or 15 times 2? Why has there been no info from the ones running the tickets?

I don’t think there that many, certainly not 15 per day, maybe half that number or less.
I think most that got the 2 entered in their cart, back out after seeing the overall cost, which then either they got lucky and able to put 1 or simply got the “Sold Out” picture.
But nevertheless, those knowingly purchased the double ticket and knowingly decide to keep one ticket for themselves and give away or sell the second ticket, run the risk of:
A). losing $185 if they don’t ask for the TM refund, but that’s their problem, not TM’s nor the City,
B). Either the buyer or seller of double ticketed, will lose out on getting on board a boat. As I think the City can cancel one of the reservation's, leaving only one single name on the master list roster. Think the City will enforce the one ticket per address rule.
So at this present time, those who have the double ticket can’t complain if they get a TM refund for just one ticket and still be able to come in without losing their ticket and wait in the Congo line like it should be.
As someone else mentioned in another thread, it’s their choice in dealing with the double ticket and if they both lose, then it’s on them and no one else to blame.
The options are there for the double ticket holders.
Hopefully someone who has the double tickets and made contact with the City can update what we know so far.

I have reached out to the city and ticketmaster. City says deal with ticketmaster. Ticketmaster says City doesn't allow them to refund tickets and both of my tickets are good (have it in writing). Totally my fault for not checking before checking out but also I paid for the boat tickets. Hopefully Jose and Lori understands so we can use the extra boats if that's the case

I contacted SD county due to a friend getting 2 boats in error. I was just informed that they would allow those that purchased 2 boats for the same day to get them. I have the email from SD county if anyone also needs that got 2 boats for the same day for proof so there's no issues at the gate.
I believe Ticketmaster screwed up on the +1 boats options as that should have been +1 fisherman...

Thanks for the update!
So it’s going to be a definite shatshow and clown show together in one circus!
No open boats to take out and that’s if you can find any parking in the zoo without blocking others.
Bring your snake boots in case, it’s shoreline fishing for some.

The way I am seeing it is Ticket master didnt sell double the tickets (double the revenue) they just sold the correct amount but some people were able to buy 2.
I have also been in contact with the City and TM both say the 2 tube tickets I bought on accident are and will remain valid.
So if that is correct, there wont be anyone there that doesnt have a valid ticket thus no chaos.
It would be crazy if they kept the money for double the spots normally available
