It was a gorgeous day out on the lake today. I was hoping for some busters, but none to speak of showed up. I threw a bunch of stuff but all they wanted was a little crank bait on the BFS rig. I ended up with a handful of clones and 4 bluegill all on the crank.

It was nice to fish with @VinnyBass for a few hours. He actually got his lazy ass out on the kayak! When I got to the lake I realized I forgot to put socks on, which makes it really difficult in stocking foot waders. Vinny actually gave me the socks off his feet as we were preparing to launch.

Thanks Brother!

You inspired me when I saw you in the water yesterday. I was tossing giant swim baits from shore for an hour and a half(basically casting practice) and realized I might have more fun if I was out on the water. Thank you as it was fun to get out there today for a handful of clones. Take care and see you at the lake again probably soon. Glad I could help out. Take care and tight lines always :-)

So I take it that Vinny didn't tell you about that foot fungus he has??? I'm sure it's something he picked up "down by the River"....! I'm sure a couple shots of penicillin will cure it right up....oh wait, that's for that other little problem he picked up down on Broadway....never mind!

No he failed to mention the fungus or other maladies, but I did take the socks off when I got home and soaked my feet in bleach and turpentine just to be safe. ;D

Beautiful Bluegill. Bet they are fun on BFS. I had one hit a crank at Cap a few weeks ago and it almost pulled the rod out of my hand. Then when I was fighting it I thought it as a decent bass. I was shocked that it was a gill.

Thanks for sharing Dan!
