Geez, I guess it is apart of being old but with the recent heat waves, water going up and then down to even close the ramp and then back up a little to open the ramp at Murray,I just have not fished there much at all. With a little cooler weather in the forecast, I decided to give it a go this morning. Cloudy conditions when I arrived and saw a few swirls out on the surface so I tossed a small Gunfish. Dang, I lost a bass on my first cast on a jump. I landed 2 small bass after that and later It seemed that each time I tried to get over to where a few bass were jumping, they were long gone, but managed a 3rd bass on that Gunfish. Lot of time was going by as a light rain started to fall. I tied on a Berkley Finisher which is a lipless sort of crank bait and landed 3 more small bass down in deeper water. Before leaving I tied on a Berkley Ripfish and landed 2 more small bass down deep(one being a hungry micro bass). Glad to finally get back out on the water again and while all the bass were pretty small, still had a fun time.

Couple pics...
