What is funny to me is with El Cap closed for boating, I would just assume many would be hitting San V. But I have
talked to many guys who have boats, or in tackle shops and especially guys over that now have been hitting Murray
and there seems to be a consensus. Too many dinks and small bass at San V so many guys have told me and that is
why they don't fish there. I have heard it so many times and even asked the ever elusive
@Mcfish and
he said the same thing. I guess that is why it has been pretty quiet on this site. Maybe your post will inspire someone
to post something showing some nice bass from the V? Or maybe it will stay pretty quiet.

I stopped going there water so low, the walk up the ramp is killer. Had to fish deep, not a fan of venting them. A lot of boats.

Fished it Saturday morning till around 2 when it seemed like everyone was leaving at the same time. The water started off at 68.4 and when we left it was around 73 degrees. When we left the thermometer read 90 degrees and no letting up. It was very busy with both pleasure boaters and bass boats throughout the day. The bite was inconsistent but yes there are plenty of dinks to be had. I only got 7 fish in the boat for the day the best going 2.5#. the rest of them where 1 to 2#'s. Lots of quagga muscles in the trees by the shoreline = lots of lost tackle. There were still a few bass on beds and some fry as well. Hope this helps........

You can definitely feel the "burn" on the way back up the ramp.

You would think that with only Otay and San V being lakes big enough to support tournaments that still have launch ramps in the water, they would be getting hammered.

No doubt!! Otay reports have been a bit thin as well now that you mention it.
