Anyone know where the water diverter switch is??? Was going to send some to El Cap!!

We actually fished the dirt walking path around the lake beneath the paved path.

It’s hard to believe I was out there fishing on Friday the 13th and the water level was just normal. And then my buddy sent me some pics the other day and I was shocked how high the water was.
Crazy…… isn’t it?

You didn’t mention if you caught any fish.
If they keep the water high, how long do you think till the fish get acclimated?

Sorry, late quick post after a long day in the heat. We ended up with 16 fish (2 of us), largest being 2.9#. All were caught on various senkos on various techniques in various colors. We tried the flooded tules all over the lake with jigs, fat IKA and some worms but nothing. Even tossed some frogs but nada. Saw water temps before sun up at 65ish and as high as 70.7 degrees near sun down. Also tried jerkbaits, swim/glide baits, underspin, and I'm sure a few more I forgot, with no luck (just trying for some variety). I would say the fish were spread all over the lake as we really didn't pick up more than 2 at any location. Didn't see anything out deep but of few random cruisers. Saw several school of the smallest fish we have ever seen - like half the size of a piece of rice. Nearly all fish we caught close to, on, or just a foot in the tules. Water clarity was as good as any lake we have been on recently, probably 10-12' visibility. Saw very few beds - I saw a lot last week but with the rising water those beds are now at 16'ish. Even the backs of coves we like 16' so not much shallow water to fish other than the flooded dirt trail. Here are a couple more pics my buddy took.

I just decided to hit Murray this morning even though I wanted to hit Miramar
today, but the recent high water changed my mind. I tend to fish deep there 90% of the time so I would have stayed away from the flooded tulles and tossed senkos and other plastic worms also.Thanks for sharing and hopefully they will not lower it super low now. My buddy Sonny said the last time they raised it so high, they lowered it crazy low and it sucked.

Ya I saw your recent post about fishing deep. We have always done well on the points and steep sections 15' - 20' off the tules but not yesterday. And we just weren't seeing anything out there on the graphs. I know a girl that bikes there everyday and she said on Saturday the staff told here they were running some tests at the water facility (guessing the new one next to the parking lot) and that was the reason the water was shooting gup so fast - whatever that means.
