I'd rather be lucky and good...

Well not really how the expression goes but here is another story.

Back to what has become a favorite of mine (O'Neill) for an after work session and I have to confess the lucky first. Here is the result.

How I caught it Lucky: my cast landed about 8 ft. to the right of my target and the line drifted onto the tulles...oh and of course, I bird's nested the crap out of my reel. So, I am picking away and finally get it all out and go flip the line out of the tangled mess of tulles and this becomes my hookset and the rest is history.

Earlier I was feeling like I was ready for the tour...result first again.

How I caught it Good: flipped a jig within less than 1mm of my target on about a 20 ft flip (pretty far for me), and let it drop, felt a tick...miraculously waited ( first bite of the day I tend to be a bit quick draw on the hookset) and she inhaled it, I spooled in all the slack and set the hook perfectly, beautiful sound of singing braid... and the rest is history.

Its all luck, and its all skill...thats why we all love it!
