El Cap (2/22)

It was a beautiful day on the water at Cap this past Sunday. Sunny, about 74 degrees, and just a light to moderate breeze coming from the west in the afternoon. The bite seems to have slowed down a tick since last weekend, but I was still able to manage quite a few bites and 10 fish in the net. The fish have pushed shallow and are willing to take a well-placed neko or ned-rigged worm, but the neko got more looks. No dice on reaction, but didn’t fish it all that hard.

Reading these 🧢 reports and being a boater is sheer torture. And its my favorite lake after Barrett. Damn the city (pun intended) for not managing our water resources and dam maintenance/replacement funds better. And you can throw the Hodges story into this too. Sorry bfullerton17 for going sideways on your post. Good job 👏

Thanks for the report. There is bait all over in 30 to 40 feet and a lot bass in them. They should move up soon, nights are staying a little warmer.
