I wasn't gonna post this, because of the louse fishing, but I do enjoy reading your reports, so, fair is fair... Met up with my buddy of 65 years at Bolsa Chica for some much needed beach time at about 6AM... Tide was falling like a rock, but the weather and conditions were great..I used freeze dried blood worms and he commercially dried lug worms and gulp sand worms... Maybe 1 or 2 nibbles for me, but he managed 1 BSP on the lug worms.... I did come home with 1 fish though...
Legal???

Well, at least you got out there! Beats not standing in the ocean at all, and the weather could certainly be worse.

Yep... We met in freshman year of high school (so maybe, it's only been 64 yrs), and have been best friends ever since... He's always been a surf guy (body boarder) but I got him into surf fishing back in the SC Surf Fishing days... Easier on his old body.

My Surf fishing buddy of 60+ years is on his way out, Lou Gehrigs disease. They have treatments but no cure, 1 or 2 seasons left. We going to hit the Surf hard this year and hope for a miracle cure. It could happen….

My mother passed away with that disease… It’s awful.. My best wishes for your buddy… Enjoy your time fishing with him…

Sorry to hear this. Get him out on the sand as often as you can while he's able to.

Always important to spend good times with friends! These are times we should never put off.
Those blue perch are good eating but you have to eat them raw. They tend to melt in the oven!
