Man today was weird...
Hit incoming for the first time in a month. Low tide and day break coincided wave power at a complete zero rating. Man it felt all lined up.

On the water by 630 absolutely nothing til about 830 then 3 on back to back casts. Then nothing. Went for a late breakfast at Ki's came back decided to give the chart house "jetty" some time 3 more. Then dead stop. Finally put a jerkbait on for first time in salt. I have Soo many questions haha.

Overall great day just polar opposite of what has been going on for the past couple of months. 6 fish caught all Bsp. males are starting to get their mating color. 5/6 were double digit.

Nice!! I’ve noticed the male colors lately, too. The first couple I caught with the more prominent yellow coloring threw me for a loop, and I figured it was maybe some variant of a perch I was unaware of. Not that I have an encyclopedic knowledge of what’s swimming off our coast, haha. It’s cool to see!

Today was a day with a Single Tide. High around 11:30 am then outgoing slowly all day. Usually not the best time to fish. You did well considering circumstances. Generally Fishing peaks during the times around the Full and New Moons when the bigger tides keep the water moving and allow the fish to set up in feeding lanes for an extended time.

Oh ok gotcha. So the tiny swing in the morning didn't even really count. I'm also noticing the short bite windows and figured it was the twitterpatting over ruling the food reflex
