11-13 Mission Beach

6:30 to 8:30. Mission Beach had some good size Perch today. Caught 9. Those were the largest perch I have ever caught. Around 12 inches. No seaweed or grass. Water was clean. Pelicans were diving on schools of fish about 100 yards from shore.

Oooh a walleye at MB don't see much of that. Looks like a great day and it looks like the incoming front and flat tide has them fired up!

The weather was perfect today. I had to get out and fish before the storms come in.

Thank you. Did not know what a Wallie was. Had to look it up.
They taste pretty good too!! I feel like they're a bit more oily/buttery tasting than the barred surf perch. My profile pic is one because I just loved how the first one I caught at MB looked with those big ol' bug eyes.

I was surprised how big those fish were. Those are my biggest perch I have caught. I noticed it was easier to reel them in with the waves. They would fight harder with no waves.
