Happy Veterans Day to all who have served, and special recognition to the families of those who served as well.

Today was pretty much a copy & paste of yesterday at MB. Relatively calm morning, and between 6:00 - 9:00 I was catching a steady stream of perch. Smaller than yesterday, but more spread out. I’m estimating 8 today, all but one caught on mussels. At some point I left the mussels out in the open and the seagulls had a mini feast 🤦‍♂️. I was wondering why they were paying extra attention to my little red cooler 😂

At that point, I pulled in one last perch on salted clam and called it a morning.

The currents picked up near the end of the session, again pulling to the north. The fog was crazy! At some point it became tough to see the houses along the boardwalk/bike path from the water! Less grass in the water than yesterday, too.

Hardly anyone else out fishing either of the past two days, which probably had more to do with it being a Monday and Tuesday. If you were part of the group of 4-5 to that passed by as I was finishing up, hope you did well!

It was a nice couple of days on the water. I even did my first inshore (?) fishing trip Sunday, so it was three straight days of sun and surf fishing. Caught a whole lotta whitefish at about 150 ft depth, so lots of good eating ahead!

Thanks for the report J....good to see the water cleaning up a bit and the perch biting! The fog has been thick...always a sign of a weather change...

The top is going back on the Jeep this evening, always a sad day on the calendar :(

Positive side of that is that rainy days will be possible to fish without fear of my car getting soaked, haha.

Do what you will with my reports but take them with a grain of salt - this is my first year of surf fishing and I don't have the experience to know what's a normal experience vs. something that may be unique/rare and never to be seen again.

One of my best surf fishing days was on a pea soup foggy, winter day.. My Grandson, a buddy and I wound up with 12-15 SFC, and a few nice corbina in about an hour… We had doubles and triples going.. Fun morning…
