El Cap Nov 2 report
Got out on El Cap nice and early with Chris, Jeremy and Dan. Also saw Robert and his Father. Early morning wind was very light and variable. Water temp was still pleasant at 65-66. That always says top of the water column to me, since that's what I want to hear. Worked along the west side heading north and picked up a nice 3.5 on a little swim jig. Got a couple other fun size bass and then a 2.75 pounder on the popper. Fish of the day also came on the popper, at 3 pounds 10 ounces, which was a fun little battle on the BFS baitcaster. There were busters all morning long, but they just weren't cooperative at all. I hooked one and lost it as fast as I hooked it. Not as many as last week, but a great time out there with friends.

Always such a pleasure to be out there fishing with you fine gents. My final count was 5 on a combination of topwater and jigs. It certainly was a beautiful day.
