Murray getting jiggy Sept. 4

When I went to Murray on Tuesday the lake was alive with busters everywhere. Yesterday it had calmed down considerably. I still managed a few topwater early, but it got hot.

I started focusing on shady pockets in the tules, and found some jig success that way. Surprisingly, I saw a couple of very large bass cruising in under 2 feet of water back on some coves (probably 8 pounds each). I thought they were supposed to hide from the sun and go deep in 95 degrees weather, but I guess no one told them that they were breaking the rules.

Nice job Dan....smart to work the tulles.
Those bigger bass you saw were probably moving in looking for small bluegill. I have seen bass almost beach themselves over
near the far fence line chasing bluegill a few times and especially along the shore to the right of the boat dock.
Tight lines and hope to see you soon. :-)
