It was a nice morning. Then the sun decided come on on high heat. Busters were everywhere you looked. Which way to go, I went that way. The fishing was interesting. I could get them on the swirl but the bait I was using, I couldn't cast it very far. I got a couple dragging the bottom. I was moving around found them going crazy. But to far away, as Vinny said none of the usual baits that worked didn't today. Then there were these 2 guys going crazy on them. Me being who I am, I asked them what they were using. Ended up purchasing 1 off them. Dang thing catches them, you just need to work it right. Nothing of size, biggest 3lbs. 17 total.

Nice job out there! I think if I stuck to really small small baits, I probably would’ve caught some more fish but after catching a few dinks, I just I just thought I would catch more dinks. Glad to see you found something that works and glad you caught a nice one. I thought that might be you over there off the point. Sorry i didnt come over buy I was kind of cranky, and just kept focusing on those finicky bass and trying not to melt from the hot blazing sun. Anyway, thanks for sharing and tight lines always.

That lake has so much bait in it and bass. With FFS I could see the bass follow my baits, as I dragged it through them. No takers. Some day I would like to see how you fish the bait balls deeper if possible.

My secret bait last year was a 1/16 oz White Roostertail. They only last a few fish before they get bent up, but it was wide open when they were chasing fry. Trolling Trout Size Minijigs was a close second. I would double the line with a surgeons knot and use two at a time. (Surgeons Knot is an Overhand Knot but with 7 wraps, make sure the knot snugs up with no over wrapping line) Minijigs were great for the Monster Bluegill that thrive at Murray also.
