Mission Beach 8/30-8/31

Nice weekend of fishing at Mission Beach.
Saturday was my first multiple "big fish" day! Started with my usual palm-sized perch within minutes of first cast, so I immediately avoided the skunk and was playing with the house's money at that point. From there, pulled in a corbina, a 19" spotfin croaker, and then a second corbina, all within 1.5 hours of getting my bait in the water. 3-4 perch mixed in as well. The first corbina was fun to pull in, watching it jump out of the water into the rising sunlight.
Caught a few more perch in Sunday's very calm morning "tide", but the bite dried up as the crowds were rolling in, so I was outta there by 9:30, if even that late. Battled a little bit of grass in relatively stagnant waters but the weather (at that point in the day) was absolutely perfect so I had no complaints whatsoever.
Corbina/perch were caught with crabs, perch a mix of crabs, gulp sandworms and fish bites while waiting for the aforementioned crabs to show up.
