Predictions for post-rain fishing?

Hello crew, I’m wondering what your thoughts are on the potential impact of this week’s rain on this weekend’s fishing? In your experience does the rain impact the way you will be fishing (e.g., does it drive the fish deeper or shallower or impact any other behaviors)? Just curious of your thoughts as I’m excited to prep for Sunday….
Side note: Theo caught more than fish last weekend — he was trying to remove this hook from a Crappie when it shook and transferred the hook into his finger. Barbs were crimped, but curved hook wedged under his fingernail made removing it a job for the professionals… he’s fine and we still had a great time despite cutting the day short!

Oh no!! Well it is inevitable for any fisherman so lets hope he’s gotten it out of the way. As for the rain today, I doubt by Sunday you would see much of an effect. Or even sooner with what this storm was. Now rain associated with a pressure changing cold front or similar would be different.

Theo will do fine, you not sure!

Bummer when a hook fights back.

A red badge of courage! Glad he is ok. I don't think the weather should have much effect. I will be there on Sunday as well. I look forward to seeing you guys out there! We can compare notes. Cheers!

Fishing was great today. It should be good tomorrow too. John followed Theo's dropshot method. I used poppers, Rapalas, weightless creatures and this nifty little strolling jig I found that is just like candy if they see it.

Gearing up now! I’m hoping for some top water action in the am.

We saw plenty of swirls and splashes all over and the minnow produced too. I tried out a larger reaper fished weightless so it would stay on top of the muck. It got me a handful of fish before I decided I better not let Theo have all the fun dropshotting

. You should get some TW fish!

I got 2 flats on the way out yesterday so I'm not sure I'd call it great. Please drive slowly, carefully and luckier than I did everyone.

Thats crazy…2!! Any chance it was debris or something more nefarious? At least once in the past some F’ers have stacked fallen timber in the road. For what reason I can’t imagine.

Yeah, 2 flats at low speed is pretty wild. Someone in front of me seemed to have hit the same thing and pulled over right away. I didn't stop until I got out of the gate so I didn't get a look at what it was. It absolutely obliterated my front tire, might still be stuck in the rear. Won't know until Tuesday.
Legend has it that @Shawnster had it absolutely dialed in this weekend. Looking forward to his report
