Knowing it was going to get very hot quickly,I wanted to get there early, but got delayed sorting though all types of tackle at the last second to bring so did not arrive at he river till 10 minutes to 7. The sun was already out as last time it was over cast for at least an hour. Tossed some reaction baits and finally something grabbed my fluke and had it on for about 5 seconds and it came unbuttoned which was a bummer. Stayed with the fluke and it got hit again and this time I set the hook with more force and landed a bass guessing in the early 3lb range. It was starting to get hot and I started tossing a jerk bait for a bit and a bass grabbed it seconds after it hit the water next to some tulles and weighed this bass in at 4lbs on the nose. I was ready to leave as it now around 9 and really heating up and I decided to toss a craw bait just a handful of casts before leaving. On one of my last casts, I felt a little tap and line started going out and the fight was on as this bass got stuck 2 times in stickups but finally I was able to land it. It was shorter and stubbier than the other bass, but it weighed 4lbs also. I was pretty jazzed! Had fun as I got 4 bites and landed 3 bass and left before I melted. Oh yeah, I only ran into one homeless guy and he told me to to tell you hi McFish. :-)

Why would you fish anywhere else? Fishing as it should be: wild and free!

It does feel good to not have to pay for a
permit. Anyway, I could use that money for things I need……..like more tackle…… ha ha. :-)

Wow. I have to pay big bucks to go to Minnesota and Barrett to catch nice fish like that and you get them for free. I take it you didn’t run into those two hillbillies from Deliverance?

No...I was lucky. They were heading out for an early lunch with @Mcfish yesterday.

Cool....... Thank you Dan!
I am tired of roughing it without any electronics at the river. With that new kayak I can really focus on all of
those screens and determine which bass I may want to catch or even watch fishing videos on YouTube....ha ha. :-)
