When was the last time the City did an overdue fix to the ruts on the dirt path?
For the prices everyone is paying they neglected to grade down those bone jarring, vehicle vibrating, suspension breaking and teeth rattling conditions.
Our last trip out, we saw a truck that almost lost his yak. Imagine that with several vehicles behind him and gets caught in the jam. It’s not like there’s a double lane to get past something like this.
I’d be tempted to drag a heavy duty fence behind my truck haha.

I agree. Its definitely gotten way worse. However, if they aren't gonna fix the road into El Cap I highly doubt this is any of a concern for them to address.

I have friends who live in residential areas with low traffic who tell me their streets get repaved even though there is nothing wrong with the streets. And I know of other areas with pot holes and rough patched areas that have should have been repaved for at least 2 years. And now San Diego City is throwing away all the trash bins and charging us >$500 to replace them. Meanwhile, down the street from me, there is a tiny park getting >5M$ in unnecessary upgrades. And they complain the lakes lose money on fishing permits even though about all they do is collect the fees. The city is run by idiots.

FYI, there is a road grader parked just off the dirt road on the right on the way out. If only someone would put it to good use.

People who live on dirt roads like em rough. It slows everyone down. Old Baja trick, are down to 15-20psi. Just have to have patience and a pump to air back up at that pavement. As rough as that road gets, there’s ways to drive it to make it smooth but if you’re worried about some grass or brush touching your vehicle, then it’s gonna be a rough ride. I personally will take some rash on the side verses shaking the fasteners out of my ride and fillings out of my teeth.
