Final count was 13 with three of them over 3 pounds, one over 4 pounds and the best was a 6.2 pounder.

All fish were courtesy of a jig. I tried throwing a walking bait numerous times and had only one bite which came unbuttoned. The topwater action never really got going that I saw.

It was great seeing @VinnyBass , @Mcfish , and @Fisheromen (who brought his daughter) and she put on a clinic early in the morning. She may have out fished all of us.

All in all pretty awesome for my first trip there this year.

What can I say but congratulations on a fantastic day out there!
Those were some fine bass you caught. Here most of us were just waiting out there for the topwater bite to happen and
we waited and we waited and it never happened, while you wasted no time catching bass with the jig. That 6lb bass was so fat even
from a distance. You really figured them out today while most of us just did not have a great day....fishing wise that is.
But always great fun to be on the water with others from SDFish kidding around. Yes @Fisheromen 's daughter "Kat" was a hoot catching bass and even ribbing a few of us. Anyway, it was great seeing you out on the water and my hat's off to you for all those nice catches and proof again that you can really work your magic with that tiny jig.
Tight lines always buddy :-)

I was out there as well, can't believe I didn't see you. Would have loved to meet you all. Im pretty sure I seen mcfish and maybe Vinny, im not sure ive never meet either before.
I was the guy with the trailer and the nucanoe. I fished the dam side til around 1 then hit the right of the launch the remainder of the day, I got 9 best 2 over 4 1/2#.
Tough day compared to recent visits. Top water never hit for me either, I had 1 blow up on very 1st cast and missed it thankfully, you know the 1st cast superstition. But yeah, nice, looks like you had them figured out. Congrats on the jig bite!

Fridays are Geezer day at D.K.....only 65's and up! I broke my number one rule Friday, don't try to make fish do something they don't want to do! I wasted 3 hours trying to make the topwater happen like it did 2 weeks ago..stupid! I missed the best hours for the bottom bite! It was definitely Vinny's fault!

So it’s my fault that you told me the top water bite is on fire up there and I need to get up there before I miss out. I wasted the first three hours also believing you that any second it’s gonna start.
Bad intel the way i looks at it. By the way, huge 10 pounders are biting like crazy at Murray. You should get down here. :-)

You're also the reason I broke off 2 nice fish...after all, it's your rockpile with the stupid trees on it! ...!!! By the way, nice fish Dan!
