❓ Is Murray still being weird

Anyone fish Murray lately? I saw it's been weird and the water level has been in flux the last few weeks. If you did go, how was it? I'm highly contemplating Murray tomorrow.

The water level has been fluctuating a few feet even just from my last three trips there. It went down then back up a little bit, and a tiny bit higher on Friday morning. I did not worm fish much after no bites, but managed to catch six bass and a trout on reaction baits. This whole water level issue I believe really messed up the spawn this year. I don’t think we’re ever gonna put the water back this year to its normal levels in the past.

While I have no proof, I certainly think the fluctuating water has messed with the spawn for both bass and bluegill. I have been hunting bigger bluegill while on foot. The lower water has made more shoreline that I can work with a fly rod accessible, and also made the drop offs more reachable from shore in some areas, but on the other hand I haven't found as many areas thick with spawning fish and I haven't seen any visible bluegill beds.

You know, the water visibility has not really good especially the last few years, but at times when I did see a few areas where it looks like bass may have spawned, this is the first year in a long time I have not seen any bluegill in those beds.
Kind of unusual. Anyway, tight lines to you.
