San V Boat Rental

Heyo Guys! I finally am going to be able to make it out with my pops this weekend! Curious on the situation for boat rentals at San V or Lake Jennings?

Is it a type of deal I should be waiting at the dock a few hours early so they dont sell out? I know most of the gang here have their own floats/boats but curious if anyone had some insight on this? Also taking any recommendations on where you think would be better of the two lakes two get on some bass. My dad is a San Diego Local and used to fish daily but its been 35 years - he swears by Otay but judging by recent fishing reports from there its looking more like a Sutherland than Late 80s Otay.

Any insight would be appreciated! Tight lines.

I was at San Vicente couple weeks ago and had no problems with the boat rental. We arrived at 7am and there was no line and like 20 boats available.

I was at SV yesterday at 10a with no problems with rentals. No wait and plenty of boats.

I was told by Chris (one of the workers there) that it would be more crowded than usual this weekend due to the holiday. I imagine there would still be plenty of boats available BUT there will be a lot of water sport craft out there - it might get a little crazy and lots of wakes going around.
