Murray 7/9 BFS bait

I have a lot of success with this bait at all the SD lakes really. It dives to around 7 feet so I try to fish it at around 10 feet just above the top of any grass. I usually use a slow retrieve where it just maintains a wobble, but sometimes if the fish are being aggressive they seem to like it faster. I've also had them hit it after a pause in the retrieve, just as I start reeling again.

I throw it on a 7' medium light rod paired with the Ark Gravity reel, and casts a long way. If you try it out, let me know how it works out for you.

Thanks for sharing, I’m shore bound but I have a chance to go Friday so it looks like I’ll be packing some bluegill baits, cranks have been troublesome from shore but I’ll pack some soft bluegill baits along with some cranks.
Thanks again for being so open with your posts it really helps.
