Got there @3:30 and already 8th in line,felt like opening day because the line went out the gate. Someone blocked the gate so Jose had to walked in. Met Dave, Steve and couple new friends, Dave went to Pine and I went to Hauser, hoping it won’t be the last Wednesday for me. Started across Pigs on jig for a couple of nice 3lb, headed back to Hauser after the sun came up.
Started with the popper but surprisingly no takers, switched to the I-wing and it was getting crushed by a couple of 3s until one of them hit it so hard that one of the wing came off so went with the buzz bait , ploppper and frog. They all produced nice quality and healthy bass, the highlight was getting crushed by a 5lb on the plopper as I was retrieving the bait closed to my kayak, so much fun.
Left around noon, water temp 73 air temp was 90.
Here’s hoping we get our Wednesday back in July
