Pacific Beach Friday May 30

I fished the surf south of Crystal pier this morning from about 8-9:15. Still a good bit of wave action. Grass and junk are the same, lots of it but manageable. Sand crabs everywhere.
Took 1 minute to catch a BSP. After another 20 minutes I caught a 19 inch SFC. The SFC was enough motivation to keep me there another 45 minutes or more, but the bite was off after that.
Same observations in shallows - no corbina visible but I did see several rays.
Butch, I don’t think that was your SFC. I didn’t see any recent injuries or piercings in it.
