Got out in the water about 6:30 and there were about 5 trailers in the lot. Word must have gotten out that the lake was still launchable because by about 9:00 there were boats on almost every bit of exposed rock on the lake!

Caught 10 today. Biggest was just over 3lbs and best five probably went 13lbs or so. I don’t know for sure because my scale somehow got switched to Kilos instead of pounds and ounces and I don’t know how I did that or how to set it back! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Anyway, it was pretty much junk power fishing today. Got fish on a
Gunfish, Pop-r, fluke, and two different crankbaits. Definitely a fun day. Going to suck when they close it down 😔

Here is a pic of, what used to be, Boulder Bay and the depth in the middle of the lake outside of it.

Too bad the water is not going right into Murray to the water level so I could pitch Tokyo rigs into tulles like I used to years ago. That’s not happening because they can’t raise the water over a certain level now at Murray so it’ll never be like it was about three years ago. Anyway, nice seeing a report from you and tight lines to you always. :-)

What is it with SD reservoirs not being allowed to be at full capacity?? I have a theory or two, interested in other opinions.

Simple, all the politicians knew about the dam conditions..and they chose to kick the can down the road, that let them spend the money on their pet projects! Most of the dams are 60-100+ years old and everyone knew many years ago that they would need to be replaced or fixed!
