Made it out there for Mother's Day with a blessing from my wife. Long story short it was an epic day for me. Met up with @Early release at the gate and headed out on the water. There was not much for topwater but the jig bite was on FIRE. My previous record there was 71 bass and a bunch of gills. Today was very different. I caught (and recorded) 100 keeper bass. I did not include any fish under 12". Most of the fish were between 10-15' deep and were hitting on the drop. I used the usual Bitsy Bug in green pumpkin but added the Missile Baits D-Stroyer for the trailer making the bait fall super slowly. Smash, smash, smash! All day long. I believe that I had 59 by 11:45am and left around 3pm with an even 100. The last 20 coming in the last 35 minutes. It was crazy! Multiple fish over 4lbs with the biggest (#80) going 5.34lbs. Lost the big fish of the day. The hookup was on video and it jumped just out of scene but you can hear the splash. It was at least a 7lber. Oh well, I can't complain at all.

Interesting ( maybe ) that your post of catching 100 fish is your 500th post. I don't know why I notice things like that. You sure held a clinic on proper jig fishing. I really enjoyed your explanations and now that I have those secrets, I'm ready for the rematch.

Thanks a lot! When that last run of 20 fish happened I could hear the music in my head and knew exactly how I wanted it to look. It’s was super fast paced action and I knew I couldn’t show every fight. Thanks for watching and appreciating it. Cheers!

Ha! It’s funny that you say that, because on the way in, I saw a skunk on the road and actually told Dave that I need to make a video called skunk at Barrett opening weekend. Wonder how many views that would’ve gotten?

Pretty sure that boat at the very beginning was my son and I heading out. We were the first to take off from there dock. I watched shawnter’s son rope them while I unloaded the boat. Another cool video
