This week at Murray

I was fortunate enough to fish Murray this week Tue-Thurs. With the city's budget cuts coming, it looks like lake fishing on weekdays is going to go the way of the Dodo, so I will get it while the getting is good I suppose.
After the topwater bonanza on Tuesday. I picked up a few more that way early Wed. and Thurs. All the fish next to the bank were dinks and clones chasing silver sides. I did land three fish over 3lbs. The bigger ones all seem to be hanging out in 15-20 feet along dropoffs.
I hadn't fished a good old fashioned T-rigged worm for a long time, so I decided to give it a go Thursday afternoon. 2/0 light wire hook and a 1/16 oz tungsten worm weight. I tried green pumpkin, Margarita Mutilator, Aaron's Magic, black...an nothing. Finally I tried a Bold Bluegill and voila! Caught 4 in consecutive casts. I guess sometimes color does matter.
Cheers everyone.
