I think Vinny owns stock in that business!
You could hire me(I work for Tokyo rigs..ha ha) to take pics for you like the avatar shot I took or buy or make your own selfie stick.
Since you do fish a lot out of your float tube I know you hold your arm out with the camera and take the pics. I always thought that
it could be pretty easy to drop your phone so I decided to just make a selfie stick out of the top of a guitar stand and just attach the
belt-clip holster that came with my Otterbox iPhone case.
I just used electrical tape to fasten the belt-clip holster to the top of my guitar stand . My camera snaps securely right into place and
with the flip of a switch change the camera direction and set the timer and hit the start button.
That is what works for me, but I am pretty sure there are some quality selfie sticks out there. Do not buy a cheap one as phones can drop out of the holder with sometimes the slightest movement if the phone is not locked in securely. Most phones are not cheap(except the one @McFish has) so it is worth getting something that really will secure your camera.
I have been taking pics most of my life and not a professional by any means. I did take pics when I worked in Community Relations at the
Union-Tribune at all of our functions and events the newspaper sponsored during my 28 years there. Unfortunately, I do not get paid for taking pics of bass..ha ha
If you are taking a pic of another fisherman with a fish, just use the common sense of making sure both the fish and fisherman are in the pic...ha ha
Just for laughs....here is my gadget
Trying to get things in the frame..ha ha
And the pic.
@OtayMichael is the guy to get the real scoop on taking impressive catch photos.
