My BFS set ups.

After much research into BFS techniques and equipment I am loving my BFS choices. My reels of choice were chosen partly on budget since I was not sure that I would like this type of fishing. But I do absolutely love this type of fishing on our highly pressured waters. I presently own and would highly recommend the Tsurinoya Dark wolf Ultra. The cost is 1/3 of that of Shimano and I got them on Ali express for about 70 bucks. The reels are extremely smooth with 6 - 8lb braid. One I have paired with a Phenix Classic bfs rod and one with a Magicl Ultra light. The magic L bfs rod was so sensitive that I had to get another that was a little heavier to fish 1/4 oz strike king fineese bitsy bugs. These rods are great and like 50 bucks. The ultra lite 5 1/2' rod i use with small ned rigs and leachs or small creature baits. These rod and reel combos are becoming my go to gear.and they definately wont break the bank. I've caught up to 4 lb bass at my last adventure with Pourboy at Barrett and they held up well.

That's awesome! Fun isn't it? Even clones are a fun fight and when you get into a bigger one, forget about it! It's like being a kid again. Every time I land a 5+ I feel positively giddy! I can't wait for my DD, which
@Pourboy assures me is coming.

Theres another benefit for BFS fishing also and that is it's easy on the body. I have a bum wrist and I need surgery to fix it. With the reels so smooth and the way I can cast underhand or lobing the bait and it doesnt bother me nearly as much. I still get the distance maybe not as accurate but at least I can cast and catch a few fish

I totally agree with that one.

I agree too. As my joints age lighter is very much desirable.

I agree a day of BFS fishing is so pleasant on the old bones. But I still like throwing those big topwaters for the crazy explosions.
