4/4- Murray

Been over a week since I fished last so I decided to hit Murray. I had thought of going up to the Lake of D & K, but a cold weather forecast up there helped change my mind. Too stubborn to fish the tulles I searched and searched for shad balls and wasted a lot of fishing time. Hours went by and not a bite and finally went close to the tulles and finally got a bite and blew it on the hook set as the bass came towards me. Then after no success trying many different things in tight, I noticed many empty beds as many bass had already spawned. I then went back out to deeper water for one more try and got lucky as I started picking up some small bass around 11:45. Geez, no point for me getting to the lake early as only once did I catch bass early in my last 8 or more trips to Murray. It seems that for me when it gets past 11 or 11:30 my fishing day starts...ha ha
Overall it was pretty slow, but got lucky and did land a 4.25lb bass which made me smile. It was my 4th straight fishing trip that I have landed a bass over 4 pounds and it came on 4/4. And I caught only 4 bass. Weird!
I will probably get skunked on my next fishing trip for pointing this out..ha ha
