Not an April fools.

Found a rod and reel set up. Describe it and tell me where you last saw it and I'll try my best to get it back to you.

One time, I lost a nice fly set up on the Kern River, near Hole in the Ground. I was already back up the trail to the truck when I realized my eff up.

If you find a 4 weight Hardy Zenith 8'6", holla!

Hey @skrilla ...just want to say thank you for putting it out there when many would just keep what they
found and stay quiet. You are a good guy doing that and tight lines to you always. :-)

I lost a nice Curado baitcaster and Phenix Maxim rod off Bayside park about 10 years ago in the grass in about 4' of water (depending on tide level). Went back to the spot and spent way too much time trying to find it. Undoubtedly covered with barnacles by now. It's yours to keep.

I snagged a cheap spinning outfit near Coronado Bridge and another one at Barrett. Nowhere as nice as the outfit I lost.

It had a Spirex reel on it with a broken bail spring and a cheap rod. I took the reel apart, cleaned it up and tried to fix it but the another spring shot off and I couldn't find it. At that time, I did not know where to get replacement springs plus it had some corrosion inside so I tossed it. I gave the rod away to a good home.

The Barrett outfit had a Roddy Hunter reel and Super Stix rod with a buggy whip action, still have it. Free to anyone who wants it.

I was bank fishing a small pond in Ramona. Brought 3 poles. I left with 1, completely spaced the other 2 I sat down. Half day of fishing fixing to call it. I decided to walk the bank for that last 20 cast. Found a bed, after 20 mins or so, caught the fish. Then decided to call it a day. Walked out, jump.in the car, got 3/4 of the way home and then it hit me, where are my other 2 poles.
I drove back, Walked down to the pond hoping they were still there. Nope, gone. Seen the park ranger and asked if anyone turned them in, nope.
Lost 2x zodias spinning rods both with vanford.reels 1000 and 2500. Sucks, loved finessing with those 2 set ups.

Ugh, sucks. Hopefully it shows up.

I left a small box full of pricey baits on the park bench a few months ago. I made an entire lap and found it still sitting there, which I found surprising considering.
