El Cap 3/17: Quality over quantity..

Hit El Cap with my buddy Andre on his boat Monday.
It was a tough day, we spent the majority of it watching fish not eat our baits, but the ones that did eat for us were quality.
I lost a fish around 8:30AM that sawed my line in the rocks, and then around 9AM I lifted up on my worm and something felt kinda funny so I swung. I immediately felt the head shake and knew I had a good one. She took off under the boat a couple times and put up a fun fight. A 5lb 8oz beast - my biggest catch since Sept 2023. Around 2PM I managed to get a solid 3lb fish and that was that. Brother managed a 4 pounder and a 1.5lb clone. Andre caught a couple solid fish. Was a long day and a grind but getting a 5+ made it all worth it today.
Warm weather for a couple weeks now, hopefully some stability and a normal spring pattern at the local lakes.
Tight lines all!
