I found some soft shells at low tide today and converted 2 of them to these respectable corbina. Clear water, sunny skies and tons of fun!

Nice winter corbs Mike... I went out to Alamitos Peninsula with Kiyo for a big skunk.. The outside was an absolute dump.. Crap all over the water and sand... Should have gone elsewhere... Maybe North Redondo. ;) ...

Late winter double bonus, nicely done. Heard the sc's were showing up north. No reports of crabs yet in SD but wouldn't know anyway as haven't been out since last Nov. Hopefully they'll start showing within a few weeks.

Jim Varney’s newsletter stated the crabs were evident, with large in the North to micros in San Diego.. I haven’t seen any, but I haven’t looked…

Yeah, saw Varney's report. They have been finding some in north county, nothing south according to reports I've received from guys that fish the SD beaches. Overall, lousy winter fishing in SD, somewhat better further north. I'm going to check for crabs under the PB pier mid month when get back from AZ.
