I've been off the water prior to today for for a couple of weeks. Amid some other challenges I've also been shopping for a new economical vehicle. The near daily drives from Jamul or Descanso in a heavy duty diesel pickup truck(which I need to pull my travel trailer) were killing me. I settled on a small Ford Maverick hybrid mini-truck. 40 MPG is a lot better.
To make sure my rig was going to ride securely I opted for a trip to Otay today as I am camped only a few miles away. I spent about 4 hours on the water and landed 5 clones and one solid 3.1 pounder. Unfortunately, no pic of the bigger fish. Evidently I got so excited catching a fish big enough to actually weigh that I threw her back without remembering to snap a picture lol.
Anyway the truck worked out well and it was sure nice to get back on the water again.
Tight lines all.

The water was pretty green, but I have certainly seen it a lot worse.

Welcome back
@Dannicus ! Glad to see you
got some of your stuff straightened out and a new vehicle to get you back and forth places...especially to the city lakes! Excited to see your post, I glanced over it quickly at first and looked at both pics to see which bass was over 3 pounds and then read it slowly and realized there was no pic as you accidentally tossed it over before taking a pic. Dang! Anyway....it is great to see a post from you and hope to see you soon over at Murray.
Tight lines always buddy

Thanks man! It's small but very fuel efficient. I can fit both high school twin boys in it for their trips to school plus all my fishing gear. I fish, they learn stuff, and the fuel bill is way smaller....
I think it's a win all around.
