2/3-SD River.....Not good

Another day of avoiding Murray, I found myself down at the SD river this morning. The weather was cold, then got unusually warm, which I thought was not a good sign but at least I am out fishing.
I threw all types of reaction baits in all shapes and colors that I thought would attract a bite and nothing. Then started flippin' worms, craw baits and of course June bug colored BrushHogs. I hit so many nooks and crannies and still not a bite. I started to think that all the bass had died and thought geez.. I wish I had some corn and at least I could try to catch a carp...ha ha Then out of the blue I tied
on a 7" MM Roboworm and after what seemed like another 100 casts, my line twitched. Did I actually get a bite? I waited for a second and reeled in all the slack and set the hook hard... to pull in a tiny bass that sure must of been hungry to take on a worm almost as big as he was. Anyway, that was on my only bite and I just laughed at the size of him. I can't wait till spring is here and the bass bite will
improve for all of us.
