Hey all!
Headed out of Tidelands Park a little over a week ago and had a fun day experimenting with baits that I don't normally use in the Bay. Mainly I was using a chatterbait (white/char.) and a chrome blade baits. I was trying to think of baits that I should be using but am not. I had success on both! At least for a while. I got lots of spotties near the bridge for a couple of hours and then the bite just died at slack tide. I cruised around looking for hungry fishies but could not find any. Then I decided to go back to the 3" Gulp Minnow on the small underspin head on 4lb test. The bite was almost immediate. I ended up getting a needlefish as well that I lassoed around the beak. All in all I learned a lot, caught a bunch of fish and had fun. Check out the video for more info if you like. I tried to find to Bonito but haven't gotten one of those yet. We've gotta have goals I guess!
p.s. As a side note after this trip I had a horrible experience with a lithium battery that burned up my car. I posted about that in the General Fishing Area. Check out the photos and be sure to be VERY careful with you batteries.
Cheers!!

Looks like another fun trip. I have that same Rapala blade bait, need to give it another shot next time I’m out there.

Always fun to get out there. I am jealous of your bonita though. I couldn’t find any when I was out there. Thanks for taking the time to check out the video.

Were you out there on Sunday (the 27th)? I saw somebody out there zipping around in a motorized tube. When I was a diehard tuber, I never really wanted any kind of propulsion, but you guys are making me want to motorize for when I do break out the tube.
I got a needlefish out there as well. Haven't caught one in years.

Nope, the week before that. There was another guy with a drill rig when I was there though.
