The Mrs. and I took out the new raft for the first time on Saturday. Steady action all morning on crankbaits and blade baits. We ended up with 30 fish which is pretty darn good for us. I’m going to be adding nav lights soon. I have a couple buddies at work that love to shore pound the bay at night but going in the raft could be a game changer.

Great job out there! How deep were the cranks running?

I try to use baits that get to the 8-10ft range. I know there are times when I could get better numbers on smaller plastics but the bite on the crank is my favorite.

I totally get it. I'm heading out there this weekend and was just curious if it was anything specific. Thanks for the info!

Nice looking raft there! Am toying with the idea of a Sea Eagle 2 person for Barrett and Sierra lakes. I have an aluminum bass boat but there’s times when it’s not possible or practical.

Thanks! This is my third Saturn. If you keep them out of the sun when not in use they will last for many years.
