10/4 Big Bay

Launched out of Pepper Park by 7 am on a nice day. No sooner did I make it out of the marina and i hit fog. The chop was nasty and I couldnt see 20 yards in front of my boat. I got across the bay with no incident but I was nervous since the Navy seemed to be sending everything they had out to sea.. I started drifting the tidelands area and the spotties were on the chew. I managed to land a half dozen but All of them were small on dropshot Kietechs. Switched over to bladed jigs with a large Savage Dragon Tails for a few more and they were better in size. I really wanted to get into some corvina and halibut but it just wasn't in the cards . I headed back across the bay with a dozen fish landed and im glad I did the bay was rocking and rolling from the wakes of all the boats going out but at least the fog had somewhat lifted. Great day and a blast.
