El Cap Sat 10/5

Been a minute since I had anything worth sharing. I’ve been hitting El Cap for the last few weeks and been killing the 6-10” bass! Shallow, 10-15ft, breaking fish, didn’t matter, almost everything I caught was still in diapers.
Two weeks ago I noticed that in the front of the lake the fish were feeding on the bluegill up in the shallow weeds. Took me until today to figure them out. After messing with the shad eaters in the back of the lake this morning, I ran out to the front of the lake and tied on a swim jig and started fishing the shallow weeds.
I was casting super shallow and just winding it quickly through and over the shallow weeds. Had several hits but only got the hook into a few but they were nice quality fish. Got two over 4lbs, a 4lb 5oz and a 4lb 10oz. Had another one actually break off the hook of my jig
The 4-10 missed my swim jig and I went back about 15min later with a small bluegill crankbait and it HAMMERED IT!
Overall a very fun day!
