Sierra Report and Fish I.D.

Hit South Lake west of Bishop this week. An awesome time of year even if the bigger fish weren’t jumping in the boat. We didn’t do bad tho catching 19 rainbows on two days in a boat. We also tossed lures instead of bait as we weren’t planning to keep any to cook. Soaking or drifting dough baits or crawlers were the ticket for keepers. Our released catch bit Thomas Bouyants on the troll or cast in gold/red and the white w colored spots and powerbait trout teasers in pink and grasshopper colors. We did hike up to Long Lake above South and the girl caught a small guy that I need help identifying. It has colors of a cutthroat but it could be a brookie. Any thoughts?

Hi John, you have it correct, it's a brook trout, the cutthroat has the black spots for example.
