Pacific Beach Wednesday Oct 2
Fished the surf south of Crystal pier this morning for maybe a couple hours. Water still cold, my app says 64 and that seems about right. Grass and various salad was thick and would tie my leader up within 5-10 minutes of casting. One bite, a 15 inch YFC.

Hit that same beach Friday, more of a recon to see if sand crabs still under the pier. They were, loads of them, but interestingly, no visible beds on the open beach. Hoping a late season croaker or bean might be roaming around but didn't happen. Nice perch bite though, both on crabs & mussel; 9 total up to 10" plus a 2' SNGF showed up, all C & R. Not what I was after but a fun session none the less.
