Barrett Report September 25th

Well, that's it for me for this year.

Got to the lake in the dark. Met Chuck and we had a nice time. Water temp was at 70F and by the end of my day it went to 73F. Light wind from the North early.

We were determined to catch fish on topwater and I'm happy to say it worked out. Chuck was getting takers on the frog, and I was enjoying using my much loved popper. Nothing large today, but a lot of decent 2 pounders. Pedaled over to Pine arm to see what we could catch and got a few on the squarebill and most came on the little Rapala and little Daiwa shad. Wind came up at 1000 or so and was howling, so that pretty much ended my efforts. Pedaling back was an effort, but it was nice to think about a great season at the lake we all love. One more weekend go have fun.
Couldn't have asked for prettier morning

Another nice report from Barrett Dave. Thank you for always sharing your adventures.
You and many of the others that contribute to the Barrett reports looks like you guys always have some really fun times.
Catching lots of bass on so many different baits and really enjoy the great pics.
During the offseason at Barrett, maybe I'll see you on one of the other City lakes.
Best Wishes and Tight lines to all of you
Vinny :-)

Great report my friend and that sunrise shot takes my breath away. Thats a big reason we all fish for moments like that we've all experienced. Great season !!!

We do have a lot of fun at Barrett. Now that it's closed, I'm planning on invading Murray and Miramar, seems like Hodges is a bit murky. San V is more of a commitment because I park at the top parking and wheel my kayak all the way down. That's ok, but the return going up is like an expedition for this old man. :)

There are things better left unknown. This may be one of them. :)

Love the answer!
That is the same answer I would give if somebody asked me how much I spend each year at Tackle Warehouse....ha ha
