Roncador's 2024 fishing slide show

Haven't done too much fishing this year at least locally. Anyways figured I'd share some photos with you all since I haven't posted here In a while. I find it rather difficult to upload photos on here so I made a little slide show to post.
Started out my year down in Cabo for 3 days. Caught triggerfish, bonito, barrilete aka black skipjack, sierra, wahoo, dorado, yellowfin up to 45lbs, and striped Marlin. Caught my first three wahoo ever the biggest around 60lbs caught on chunk bait with 30lb test no wire. The other two came on the troll. I hooked three striped Marlin and landed two. First one came on 20lb test with a live sardina on my Newell 220/ seeker inshore 858-8 1/2T. Took me about an hour and a half to get it to the boat. The fish pretty much released itself. The other one came on a zuker style lure and beat my first two stripers by 40-50lbs. That one we killed.
Later on in April I flew to Western North Carolina to visit my good friend Noah @op3ratorspectre on the old SD fish. There I experienced what I could only describe as some of the best creek trout fishing in the country. Caught 47 trout in 7 days up to 9lbs. Biggest brown went 20" and biggest rainbow went 24." All on jerk baits with bfs gear and 4-6lb test fluorocarbon. I even caught trout on a golfcourse there. Spent one day in East Tennessee at Boone lake with a guide. Was hoping for a big striped bass we grinded all day running live shad and live trout on planer boards. Only caught one small one and a nice 4lb hybrid aka wyper. We also went hiking way up into the mountains for native brookies but were unsuccessful in our mission.
In May I spent a few days down in San Quintin where I loaded up on rockcod as per usual. Brought back shrimp and oysters as well. Was hoping for yellows that trip but the weather didn't cooperate. Didn't get to fish lake Mead but did visit it and got to feed the striped bass popcorn when I went to Vegas for my birthday. Anyways that's pretty much it. More than likely I'll try and get on a 2-2.5 day this October for bluefin with my grandpa. Then maybe I'll post an actual report.
