So thrilling!

Got to lake late (midafternoon). Weather perfect. I asked a couple of guys how it had been, and they said a lot of little fish. Sure enough, I saw small bass everywhere. In a couple of years, watch out! Hit the initial big rock north side of Hauser. Got constant bites fishing that bank, drop-shotting. Should have stayed, but wanted to fish the back of Hauser. Got a few fish there. Then searched for coves with fish boiling. In one cove three ospreys were hunting overhead, the four of us searching for a bait ball. No luck. Back to Hauser big rock, wind now blowing, managed the wind with what turned out to be an excellent motor. Got bite after bite until the sun set. Overall landed 27, another 10 got off near boat or were tiny dinks. 15 of the 27 were 10 inchers, but I counted them as keepers. Of course each one I initially thought was a giant, but then it quickly dawned on me it was a small fry. The problem with these is that when I hoist them into the boat they wiggle maniacally and the robowork flicks off and oftentimes the split-shot flicks off. Oh well. I had two 3 pounders and ten 2 pounders. One of the 3 pounders kept taking out drag, a strong fish, was surprised in was only 3 pounds.
But that constant bite, whether a small fish or not. The endorphins racing through my brain as though I had eaten some wild and exotic drug. It was a thrilling afternoon!
