Went to Miramar for a couple hours this afternoon after reading some reports here. A few fish busting on shad here and there but weren’t interested in anything I threw at them. Landed one on a small jerk bait near some tules. This fish fought like one twice his size which was fun. Might head out this weekend and try some different things. Even the trusty drop shot roboworm didn’t get bit today.

Many of the bass are eating baitfish and had success with reaction baits. The fish fight hard because I believe that
many have never ever been hooks as there is not heavy fishing pressure up there and last year from September on it was closed to
water craft till July of this year. Good luck if you go back out on the weekend and thanks for sharing.

Ive been out there during the evening hours. The breakers are starting to slow down to 10 - 15 second bait crashing. There is a giant bait ball by the main dock and boat launch... Good luck out there.

I went out there today for a few hours 930-1230. Busters were here and there no consistency to them. I was able to pick a couple on a jerk bait that busted close to the last fishing dock nearest to the dam. I also caught a few little guys on a DS along the tule line. Pretty good way to spend lunch

This was pretty much my experience there as well. It's a pretty long drive for me, but Vinny sure seems to have figured it out.

Have been back a couple times since I posted. Have been able to get quite a few by just throwing kastmasters and spoons, letting them sink a ways before retrieving. Vertical jigging the spoons works pretty well too. The fish seem to hanging out about 30 feet down in the main part of the lake (I don’t have a fish finder so this may be wrong). The busting on a shad has slowed down a lot, didn’t see much of any action today, maybe they don’t like this heat wave either.
