Had a ball out at Murray Thursday. Met a great guy and guide in VinnyBass also. Started around 7 am and was surprised to see busters all over the lake. I started with a weighted fluke for no love as I made my way out to the middle of lake where i saw VinnyBass make some hook ups but didnt see him land them. I had switched to hard baits but had a few blow ups but no takers. As my arm grew weary I decided to try out some new finesse jigs so i continued across the lake and VinnyBass decided o give me a tour of that area and show me the structure off the point in deeper water. Great tour but no fish . And in a couple of weeks my hearing will get back to normal. As he left for the busters I found myself going up that arm of lake where the tules are in very shallow water. I had switched over to reapers and split shot fluttercraft worms. I must have nailed 3 or 4 micro bass all on smoke colored reapers with painted chartreuse tips. I made one last attempt at busters about 11 because it was getting to hot for this old dude and to say bye to my guide. I tied on a silver and blue Kastmaster and tried to mimic the Murray resident after seeing first hand at his success. But the magic wasnt happening as I motored back to ramp and cussing under my breath at the fish and about my sore arm for throwing at busting fish and chasing them. I knew better than that. But it was a great time.

It was nice meeting you and really liked your pontoon fishing set-up. You looked really comfortable sitting high on the water
a probably a heck of a lot easier to get off longer casts. Yeah, the whole morning was pretty darn slow and with the moon being so full the night before, I always assume the bass ate a lot of shad during the night. Anyway.....I was a little bit frustrated in the morning and thought about calling it a short fishing trip, but since I had nothing to do at home, I just decided to stay and was actually really surprised that fish were still busting here and there in the very late morning.
My arm was pretty tired also and hope to see you again at the lake when it is not so freaking hot and the bass are more interested in plastics where there is a better chance of catching a bigger bass, rather than a bunch of clones.
Take care and tight lines always. :-)

No i haven't yet. I think sometimes I may wish to fish the sd river and theres no way I'm lugging that pontoon all the way down to launching area so i may keep both. I just really dont have the room. Between my boat and the two floats fishing seems to overtaken my house. HAHAHAHAHa

Hey, I think I resemble that remark.
I read it and I just figured maybe he had a problem with his ears, but I realize now what he was trying to say.
