I'm Baaaaack! D&K 8/9

After having been under the weather for almost 2 weeks (and still not feeling 100%) I finally got back on the water yesterday for a morning session.

I tried topwater for the first 45 minutes with no joy, then the middle column stuff, but all the biters seemed stuck on the bottom.

I ended the morning with 7 total all of them coming on a Texas rigged green pumpkin trick worm. I was off the water and exhausted by 10:30 but it felt really good to get some fresh air and nature. I know it's just what I needed to start feeling better.

Oh and by the way, I finally got a new scale, now I'll have definitive proof that all those 2 pounders are in reality 6+ for sure!

Welcome back and hope you will be back to feeling 100% better soon. Been there and it sucked. So nice to see your post
this morning and you back in action. Glad you finally got a scale, but for me it sometimes tells me that a bass may not be
as big. A bass I figured was about 5 1/2 because it was so much bigger than the other bass I was catching recently at
Miramar was actually 4.75lbs. Oh heck, still better to have a scale, and besides most of the time when you are catching
bass, the scale really doesn't come out much unless you hit a few healthy ones. Looks like there will be some 6lb'ers
down the road in between all the other bass you pull out on your fishing adventures. Tight lines always :-)

Good job..D.K. is fishing tough when the topwater's not happening! Hate it when people get a scale...then Vinny and I can't argue whether a fish is 3.5 or if it's 3.6....
