They have a crapload of available molds for injecting plastic and pouring lead. A crapload.

So there was a particular type of mold I wanted....couldn't find it, but emailed 'em to see if they had something like blah blah blah....

Nope.

Good...I have already spent too much on gear lately....

But wait...

Nope, they don't have a mold like I described...but they'd be happy to add a hook slot to an existing mold.

So after some back-and-forth emails, I just blew my fishing budget for the year (and next year)...and in a couple of weeks will have my own custom bait mold.

Fat Guys Fishing. Good customer service, a wide variety of molds for shooting plastics and pouring lead. All CNC, so none of it's cheap, but some molds are surprisingly affordable...ish.

CheCK 'em out if you're into this particular brand of stoopid....They even have some molds that allow you to pour a laminated body (2 or 3 colors depending on how much you've spent on injectors) with a tail that's a whole 'nother color.

Mission Creep.

Set out to do some re-melting, fully intending to see what color (white? black? red? dark green?) could be used to convert a generic greenish-brown glob of plastic into a solid (nontransparent) color, to use for a "back" color in a laminate with a clear or contrasting belly color. I have a milk crate full of leftover plastic of different colors, from making ScorcherZ, and want to see what can be done with them in the injection molding world.

Got sidetracked by my lack of a Big Freaking Injector Of Doom for firing out large quantities of single color lures....I mean, if you've got two cups of hot plastic ready to go but have to keep stopping to clean and refill a 6 oz injector..then reheat the plastic.

My default solution is to buy something. So I got this ginormous (10 oz) injector built by a machinist in NY state. And I ended up mixing remelted plastic with different leftover quantities of random plastisol. The BFIOD lets me shoot a crapload of single color baits at once. And it only cost...let's not talk about that just now.

and for the moment, the question about involving remelts as components of laminated baits remains largely unanswered.
